  • It’s a busy one full of biscuit making and decorating for the big guy and his fleet of reindeer then a Christmas movie.. The Polar Express. Last before bed the kids hang their stockings and we read a few Christmas books like There was an old lady who swallowed a star. That always gives them a good laugh.

  • I spray snow foot prints shere Santa has walked, cookie and carrot crumbs and an empty jack daniel can, also get someone to jingle dome bells outside the kids windows

  • Everyday starting December 1st we bake, craft or do something christmassy every day. Its a great way to get the big kids involved with their little siblings. Keeps the magic alive for everyone

  • We don’t have a chimney so the kids leave a giant key outside the from door so Santa can get in. Its magic and can open any door in Santa’s hands. They have made it out of cardboard and have decorated it with sparkles and hand drawn pictures. Once the key is out the Christmas chatter and excitement really begins!

  • Our family tradition is to pile into the car, and drive around all the beautifully lit-up, decorated houses in our area. The kids love it and so do we.

  • The kiddies and I put out fruit mince pies and some milk for Father Christmas, and a few carrots for the reindeer. I lay their Santa Sacks in their bedroom doorways like my Mum did when I was a child. It fills me with such joy and delight.

  • Well we must make sure that Santa Claus is well looked after when he visits our place, there is always something special for him and his reindeers to eat and drink. A special thank you card from the children is always nice for him to receive, he does work so hard and a payer before bed for a safe journey is a nice touch to relax and fall asleep with, hopefully.

  • Every year I have brought my boys Christmas pj’s that I put on them on Christmas eve. We take photos and sing to the beautiful carols on the TV.

  • We go for a drive to look at the gorgeous christmas lights around our city, with a mug of warm milo and a bag of candy canes.

  • Christmas Eve is filled with magic, one of a kind
Amidst family; heartfelt and beautifully entwined
Carols, cheer and prayers find their way
All the way to Santa in his sleigh
Jingle bells, they begin to chime
Bringing a seasonal sparkle to bed time.

  • After driving around to look at christmas lights, we watch a movie together with all of us in our pyjamas and a hot chocolate for everyone. The kids put out milk and cookie for santa then we lay out their santa sacks and a carrot for the reindeer
