SkyZone Miranda: School holiday fun

SkyZone Miranda has launched just in time for the school holidays. The brand new trampoline park is now the largest trampoline park in the southern hemisphere.

And it’s impressive.

The two-storey complex covers some 3800 square metres and has more than 110 interconnected trampolines that let you literally bounce off the walls.

So much fun!

There’s loads of activities to wear the kids out. I took my tribe along to the SkyZone Miranda launch event on Thursday night. I must have been crazy to assume that we’d only stay for about an hour or so: The kids were still jumping around some three hours later and when we did eventually leave I had to drag them out. Literally!

SkyZone MirandaThere’s lots to explore and the set-up and DJ soundtrack is funky. Although I soon discovered it’s quite hard to get your groove on and bounce at the same time…

My two-year-old was content just bouncing around the toddler trampoline area, while my four-year-old especially liked the foam block pit. My older two loved bouncing off the walls and platforms, while my eldest kept going back to Sky Climb.

Sadly the Enduro Ninja Warrior course wasn’t open when we went, but there was loads of other stuff to engage the kids from the trampoline zone and tight rope, to the dodge ball arena and basketball hoops.

There’s also a pro zone for the older kids – was amazing to watch some of the pros in action, literally walking up walls.

I had a hard time trying to keep an eye on all the kids at once as each was racing off in a different direction, so a bit tricky if you have a few younger kids like me, but heaven if you have older kids – just kick back and relax in the cafe up top.

SkyZone Miranda is well worth a visit, but make sure you book a spot in advance – located in the basement of Westfield Miranda, this venue is always going to be jam-packed.
