Melbourne Oz Comic-Con GIVEAWAY

Melbourne oz comic-con

Pop culture fans, be prepared! Check out the awesome line-up for this year’s Melbourne Oz Comic-Con.

The latest addition to the list is Sunnydale’s favourite sidekick. In her very first Australian convention appearance, Alyson Hannigan, star of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, How I Met Your Mother and American Pie, will be at Oz Comic-Con on July 1-2 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Alyson shot to stardom as Buffy’s best friend Willow, in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as well as winning over 90’s teens in her role as band-geek Michelle in the American Pie series. Most recently she won hearts as one half of Marshmallow and Lilypad, when she starred as Lily Aldrin in all nine seasons of How I Met Your Mother.

Joining Alyson is another Buffy alumni, Tom Lenk, who portrayed trio member Andrew Wells in season six. Tom has also appeared in Transformers and had guest roles on How I Met Your Mother, Bones and Six Feet Under, as well as many more.

  • My favourite is Watchmen because it’s as fantastical as the comic and I appreciate how closely they followed the art and styling of the comic.

  • Logan because it showed another side of being a superhero it was more grit and regret than strength and power.

  • The 1989 Batman film, Jack Nicholson was a great Joker and adversary of Batman. His creation absolutely terrified me as a child!

  • Hellboy. Because despite not fitting in and being pre-destined to destroy the world, he still tries to save it.
