Good Green Box Review

At the beginning of this year, one of my new year’s resolutions was to change my cosmetics and skin care products to all natural. It was something I started doing for my daughter and decided to continue with me.

The problem with this change is that I didn’t want to buy something that doesn’t suit me or my skin. For instance, I bought a natural deodorant to replace my old one that had aluminium in it but it turns out I was allergic to it even if the ingredients were all natural. Luckily, my daughter wasn’t allergic to it so I gave it to her to use.

But that got me thinking that I needed to sample products first before I commit to buying it – even the ones with organic and natural ingredients. I didn’t want to waste my money and end up with a product that I’m either allergic to or didn’t like the smell off.

That’s why I thought the Good Green Box was an excellent service to try. It is a subscription box full of beauty, skin, hair and nail care samples that can help you discover products that are better for you. How it works is that every month Good Green Box chooses products that are either natural, organic, vegan or cruelty-free. From $25 a month (you can go up to $130), the customers can try all these new amazing products and be able to choose better options. You can cancel anytime, too.

The best thing is that if you do find something in the box that you would love to have, you can just head on to their website and order it from them. Easy! The box will also make a great present this Christmas. I already found a couple of products from my box that I wanted to buy (hubby pocketed some of it too).

And now for the GIVEAWAY!

One lucky Her Collective reader will get a Good Green Box in the mail courtesy of the lovely people from Good Green Box. All you have to do is answer the question below:

Which of your skin care/beauty products would you want to change into something that’s natural, organic, vegan or cruelty-free and why?

Good luck!

For Australian residents only. Competition closes December 5, 2016. Read here for full terms and conditions.

Disclosure: We received a sample box for this review. And also, it was awesome.

  • Perfume.. my little girl always wants some and it stings her skin so I’ll keep looking for a natural one for her.

  • Lipstick. Oh how I’d love a good vegan lipstick with a nice colour that will stay on that doesn’t have any nasties, or beeswax or weird crushed up bugs to make it red.

  • I would swap my name branded deodorants as they have been irritating me lately, I would love to try a natural deodorant and be environmentally friendly

  • My eyebrow pencil! It is the only product that I wear everyday, with awful overplucked ‘noughties’ eyebrows it is a necessity, it would be great if I knew it was cruelty free.

  • My mascara. I worry about chemicals so close to my eyes, and it would give me more peace of mind knowing exactly what i put in and on my body

  • My everyday deodorant so natural and organic wonderment can roam free
Captivating a united environmental vision and inspiration; heartfelt, to inspire me!.
