Crepes are awesome paired with just about anything. You can fold fruits in them, or just plain honey or even something savoury. The possibilities are endless.
Here is an easy crepe recipe to try at home. How you top your crepe is up to you!
- 1/2 cup butter
- 750 ml milk (full or skim)
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 3/4 cups plain flour
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Soften the butter and place in a bowl. Add the milk, eggs and sugar and mix well.
Slowly add the flour and mix well. When all the flour has been added, put in the vanilla extract and mix again.
Use a non-stick pan and heat it on stove top. Grease it with a bit of butter. Use a ladle and add the batter into the pan. Make sure you spread it around equally. After a couple of minutes, flip the crepe and cook the other side.
Move the cooked crepe on a plate and continue cooking the rest of the batter. Serve with whatever fruits or sauce you like.
